Fajr 2018 bestie reveals new trailer just before release

Best Fajr film ‘The Lost Strait’ has revealed new trailer hours before theatrical release in Iran.

The well-acclaimed title by Bahram Tavakkoli depicts how Iran battled against the Iraqi forces in an unequal face-off at a location called Abu Ghuraib Strait.

Produced by Saeed Malekan, ‘The Lost Strait’ (Abu Ghuraib Strait) is set in the ending days of the Iraq-Iran war before UN Resolution 598.

‘The Lost Strait’ has swept accolades at Fajr fest in Iran, grabbing awards for Best Director and Best Actor (Amir Jadidi) among others.

The flick cast includes Javad Ezzati, Amir Jadidi, Mehdi Pakdel, Ali Soleimani, Mehdi Qorbani, Hamid-Reza Azarang and others.

Tavakkoli's offering will be hosted at Iran movie theatres as of Wednesday, August 8, 2018.
